This video shows a guy playing a huge Fender Stratocaster electric guitar complete with a ginormous guitar pick.

This just proves that Americans want everything supersized, from meals to cars and now musical instruments.

I would’ve loved it more if the man displayed at least some talent so that we can hear how this thing sounds.

Here’s a new twist to Will Smith’s Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme song.

It actually sounds really good in a folk style. Kay Pettigrew did an amazing job with this classic theme and making it her own. Her voice is very soothing and kind of reminded me of Regina Spektor.

Listening to this version, you wouldn’t think that this song was supposed to be funny. It would only be a folk song about violence in the ‘hood’.

Check out her video.

If you haven’t heard of the spoon slide, well it’s only the coolest thing ever! It’s playing the guitar using a spoon.

Hannes Coetzee popularized the style and now there are hundreds of tributes on youtube for the “spoon guitar master”.

Here is a video of Coetzee in action. I really love listening to this tune! It’s so calming and relaxing.

Behold! The ultimate guitar: the Pikasso.

The Pikasso has 42-stings, 4 necks, and 2 sound holes.

I get so confused just by looking at it. I don’t know where to start. Should I play the top neck? the rear?

This thing must be a pain to tune. Expect to spend a few hours restringing this beast.

There are millions of guitars in the world and looking for the “perfect one” is tough. I see musicians stop by the Guitar Center or their local guitar shop literally a hundred times before they finally found the One. Testing out guitar after guitar, going through the different models and brands hoping to find the one that truly connects with them.

What about those people who are still on a quest? If you still haven’t found your guitar, there’s one more coming your way: The Wangcaster!!

Why get a boring old telecaster when you can get the Wangcaster! The name is already a winner. If you want to put on a good show - this is the guitar for all the people who need attention. You can’t go wrong with this.

Seriously this guitar will blow your mind - no pun intended!

You might have seen these before but I just wanted to post these beautiful Taylor Guitar Promo Artworks. I love what these images are trying to tell.

My favorite is the Taylor inside the jar. I would like to capture a beautiful thing like that and keep it inside a jar so that when I’m in the mood for a beautiful acoustic sound, I just open the lid and let it sings to my ears! It’s kind of like an mp3 player without the need for batteries.

The T5 as a bridge suspension is also great. It shows the innovation of Taylor with the T5 and how it is trying to connect two sides (acoustic and electric).

The skyscraper Taylor means that they are reaching new heights with their innovation. Proof of that is their successful venture to electrics. The T5 did fairly well as well as the new SolidBodies. And now they just came out with the T3 which is one of the most exciting thing that happened at the 2009 NAMM.

A very clever idea this is and seems like it’s catching on. A store front that’s designed to look like a guitar amplifier.

This Fender guitar amp store front from the “Guitar Store” in Southampton is getting a lot of internet traffic because of the amazing design. I wonder if the red light turns on whenever the shop is open for business.

Here is another one which is a little less cooler than the fender one. Nice try though.

Hope to see more of these store fronts pop up.

Times have changed. People are always looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint in this world. It seems like everyone is so concerned about global warming and what they can do to stop it.

You see a lot of artist going for recyclable packaging for their albums. You’ve also heard about carbon neutral tours that musicians are organizing these days. Solar power, clean energy to power their studios.

What about a sustainable guitar? Why not!

The “MADA caimes” guitar and the new “MADA sab” bass, crafted by master guitar maker Andreas Neubauer, are probably the most eco-friendly among the new green guitars popping up everywhere.

The guitar is made of 100% organic hemp cellulose guitar. This high-end guitar is highly sustainable. The strings are also made of recyclable steel.

The ‘green’ electric guitar sells for about $4800. Not exactly cheap but the price is worth it knowing you are saving mother earth.
