Lil Rounds sang Surrender by Celine Dion.

She has been picking bad songs after another for the past couple of weeks and tonight was no different. This performance bored me to my bones. I love my bones so hopefully I won’t have to bore it next time.

Underdog Matt Giraud sang You Found Me by The Fray.

The judges hated on Matt tonight! I don’t know what they found wrong with this performance - I thought it was amazing! This is one of the best for me tonight and this guy has been so consistent throughout the competition. Everyone needs to vote to save Matt from elimination. He was in the bottom 2 last week and it’d be a shame to see him go this early.

Scott MacIntyre performed a very good Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel.

I really don’t care for this guy but tonight he did surprise me with a good performance. I really liked what he did to this song and I thought he sang it with sincerity.

The hair-do has got to go.

Allison Iraheta rocked No Doubt’s Don’t Speak.

A very solid performance from Allison and I actually liked it. She surprised us by coming out with a guitar. I thought the outfit was alright although the judges hated on it.

Danny Gokey performed What Hurts the Most by Rascal Flatts.

He delivered a good performance tonight and I am fairly pleased. I kind of known he would pick a song like this because this is definitely the style that he going for. I am also happy that they didn’t showcase his grandpa’s death to garner votes. He is good enought to get votes on his own.

Quirky Megan Joy performed Turn Your Lights Down Low by Bob Marley.

This was horrible! She picked the wrong song again this week. She is definitely in trouble tomorrow night. I think she is getting a lot of votes from our friends at votefortheworst.com.

Randy was spot on about the Duffy - Adele style that suits her voice better.

Anoop Dogg! He sang Caught Up by Usher wearing a Michael Jacksonesque jacket.

I personally didn’t like this perfomance. The singing was alright although our Anoopsi is starting to get a little cocky at times. I am starting to think that the judges are more forgiving to him when he is singing ballads.

He still deserves another shot.

Kris Allen performed Ain’t No Sunshine behind a keyboard.

I didn’t know Kris can also work the keyboard and I have to say this is definitely his best performance to date. He’s been solid throughout the season but he really showed some strong vocals tonight with his own version of the song. I thought the arrangement was excellent and one of the best performances of the night.

The American Idol contestants are free to choose whatever song they want this week and our homeboy Adam Lambert delivered another great performance. He sang Play That Funky Music and it again showcased his powerful vocals.

This guys is really fun to watch. He is probably the only contestant that gives such an exciting performance and continues to amaze us everytime he is on the stage. I am always curious to see what he will do next.
